neon moon was written on occasion of Klangspuren Schwaz in 2023. The work is written for a sextet of bass flute, soprano saxophone, accordion, piano, violin, and cello and was premiered by Schallfeld Ensemble. This work is a portrait of the town where I grew up and reflects distantly on some environmental and musical sounds familiar to my rural childhood. This piece explored my fascination of what a pastoral musical topic could look like in the current era.
